Where Monolithic Calm Meets Sculpted Warmth
A Dialogue Between Shadow, Texture, and the Art of Restraint
In this Bukit Merah residence, minimalism takes a tactile turn — where weight and warmth coexist in quiet harmony. Chiselled stone, burnished metal, and layered shadows form a visual rhythm that speaks of permanence and calm.
Each volume is deliberate: a carved kitchen island anchors the open plan, while raw,
textural surfaces frame moments of stillness. Light is treated as material — diffused through fluted glass, grazing across dark planes, and revealing the depth of each surface.
Here, brutalist structure softens into lived intimacy. The result is not merely a home,
but a monolith of balance — grounded, reflective, and quietly monumental.
